My research examines mass violence, repression, and trauma in modern states and societies. My work draws on political science, sociology, psychology and philosophy. I use qualitative and mixed methods in my research.
I have taught classes and supported courses on conflict, international relations, public policy, and methodology in a variety of settings.
I also mentor students in the classes I teach.
Outside of the classroom, I am involved in community outreach and political activism that supports disadvantaged and marginalized populations. I also participate in environmental conservation and animal welfare.
